    Kl 5:30 í nótt kom upp bilun í ljósleiðarasambandi við Símann. Af þeim sökum komast notendur Netsamskipta ekki yfir á vefsíður og póst sem hýst er hjá Símanum og notendur Símans komast ekki yfir á vefi og póst hjá Netsamskiptum. Tæknimenn Símans eru að vinna í að laga þessa bilun og von er á að þetta komi upp innan skamms.

    Þann 7. júlí tókum við í notkun nýjan g.SHDSL.bis búnað í öllum símstöðvum í Reykjanesbæ. Þetta þýðir að við getum byrjað að bjóða uppá tengingar sem hafa sama hraða bæði upp og niður. Þetta mun henta einstaklega vel fyrirtækjum sem reiða sig á hraðvirkt og stöðugt internet við dagleg störf.
Subscription terms

1.       Netsamskipti ehf/Network Communications ltd. provides internet service to induviduals as well as to companies for a fee under the name Netsamskipti ehf. Customers should have reach the age of 18 as well as holding no outstanding dept with Netsamskipti ehf/Network Communications ltd.

2.       Each ADSL account includes five (5) e-mail accounts ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ), a username and a password. This account may only be used be the one who applies for the service. Applicant is reponsible for this account. It is strictly forbidded to handover the password to a third party induvidual. Customers who are applying for Netsamskipti ehf/Network Communications ltd. internet access can rent the appropriate equipment (router) for a small monthly fee. When a customer cancels their service he/she shall return the equipment in the same condition as he/she received it.

3.       If a customer changes his/her home address and wishes to transfer the internet access to the new place there will be a special transfer fee which is paid to Siminn.

4.       Included in Netsamskipti ehf./Network Communications ltd. internet access is a collection of software available on our website which is distributed freely on the internet. Netsamskipti ehf. will not be held responsible for any damage this software may or may not cause to the customers computer.

5.       Netsamskipti ehf/Network Communications reserves the right to transfer the service of a customer from another Internet Service Provider (ISP) to our own (ISP) system.

6.       Netsamskipti ehf/Network Communications ltd. is not to be held responsible for damages that Internet usage or disconnection can cause to an enduser or his equipment. Netsamskipti ehf/Network Communications ltd. is not to be held responsible for a connection through a third party induvidual or company.

7.       Access and usage of an FTP is only to be used by the person registered for the account. This induvidual is as well responsible for any content hosted on his/her account. Subscriber will take backup of his/her account/data that is stored in his/her account.

8.       Abuse of internet account or website, publishing or distribution of immoral, illegal or hurtful content is strictly forbidden. Subscriber is not allowed to store content on his/her webspace that is not allowed by the Icelandic laws.

9.       Subscriber will obey any rules that are commonly known on the internet. Companies with an active subscription from Netsamskipti ehf/Network Communications ltd. are responsible for any wrong doing by their staffmembers or those who use their internet access.

10.   The customer will take his/her own backup of any data that he/she stores on Netsamskipti ehf/Network Communications ltd. servers. This goes for both e-mail- and webservers. By no means will Netsamskipti ehf/Network Communications ltd take responsible for damaged/lost data stored on it's servers.

11.   Subscriber is responsible to announce his/her cancellation of a service to Netsamskipti ehf/Network Communications ltd. by a letter or from the subscribers registered e-mail account where the name, social security number and the username of the subscriber is acknowledged. Cancellation will take place when the next billing period starts.

12.   Customers are not allowed to disrupt, limit or in any way to impact other users internet access or hosting services by for example, sending mass e-mails or data. Sending SPAM e-mails is strictly forbidden!

13.   Netsamskipti ehf/Network Communications ltd. reserves the right to limit service to a customer temporarily, if he/she is found to be receiving/sending massive amount of data from outside Iceland which impacts other customer's internet access. The person responsible for such behavior will be sent an e-mail where he/she will be warned. If he/she will not comply, Netsamskipti/Network Communications ltd. will limit his/her service temporarily.

14.   Any failure to comply with the above rules can result in a immediate termination of service.

15.   Netsamskipti ehf/Network Communications ltd. reserves the right to reconsider these terms without warning if needed.

16.   Netsamskipti ehf/Network Communications ltd. reserves the right to send customers e-mails or regular mail with announcements regarding the service provided.
