  • 20/11/08 : Bilun í ljósleiðara 
    Kl 5:30 í nótt kom upp bilun í ljósleiðarasambandi við Símann. Af þeim sökum komast notendur Netsamskipta ekki yfir á vefsíður og póst sem hýst er hjá Símanum og notendur Símans komast ekki yfir á vefi og póst hjá Netsamskiptum. Tæknimenn Símans eru að vinna í að laga þessa bilun og von er á að þetta komi upp innan skamms.

    Öryggisuppfærsla 1.5.8 er komin út fyrir Joomla 1.5. Við mælum með að þeir sem nota Joomla 1.5 uppfæri vefina sína eins fljótt og auðið er. Þeir sem þurfa aðstoð geta hringt í síma 421-6816 eða sent okkur póst á info@netsamskipti.is.

    Þann 7. júlí tókum við í notkun nýjan g.SHDSL.bis búnað í öllum símstöðvum í Reykjanesbæ. Þetta þýðir að við getum byrjað að bjóða uppá tengingar sem hafa sama hraða bæði upp og niður. Þetta mun henta einstaklega vel fyrirtækjum sem reiða sig á hraðvirkt og stöðugt internet við dagleg störf.

1.1 Basic information
Netsamskipti ehf/Network Communications ltd. will host a server for a customer. NWC will be translated as Netsamskipti ehf/Network Communications ltd. in this list.

• Customer rents a server from NWC which is located in NWC serverroom.
• NWC will install the server in the serverroom where it will stay secured.
• Any work on the customers server software will be done by the customer.
• Any protection against intrusion, virusattacks, operating system updates and other work to maintain the security of the server is the customers responsibility.
• Access from the server to the internet will be open.
• All foreign downloads (which go beyond what is included) will be measured and charged for according to the latest pricelist from NWC.
• If there will be any extra cost done to the customer due to extra work of NWC technicians, he/she has to formally approve it. Prices will be according to the latest pricelist from NWC.
• Websites or services regarding torrent and IRC is strictly forbidden on NWC's network.

1.2 Included in a contract
Below is a list of what is included in a hosting contract.

• Hosting of a customers server in NWC serverroom (locked and proctected by intrusion and fire hazard).
• Connection to NWC network.
• IP numbers for servers (amount is negotiable).
• Usage of a Cisco ASA firewall (according to the pricelist).
• Installation and connection of the server to the network.

1.3 Not included in a contract
The following is not included in a hosting contract.

• Setup and installation of the server's software
• Final installation and maintenance of the server
• All customer service with the clients of the customer
• Any work related to consultations, system administrators and programmers according to requests of the customer
• Data transfer other than through the internet
• Transfering data/files from older system
• Retriveval of data from backup
• Work done on customers local lan
• Anything else that is not mentioned in sections 1.1 and 1.2
• If a customer requires assistance from NWC staffmembers the fee will be according to the latest pricelist. NWC will however notify the customer what the cost will be ahead of time.

1.4 Payments
Customer will pay a monthly fee for serivces provided according to contract. NWC reserves the right to limit or close the service if a payment is not received within 45 days.  NWC will send the customer a notification if a payment is not received withing 30 days from the due date.

1.5 Validation time
The contract will be effictive once it has been signed.  Estimated setup time is 5 days after the contract has been signed. The contract is valid for 6 months at a time and can be cancelled anytime with one month notice.

Any violation of the rules and regulations of Netsamskipti ehf/Network Communications ltd. will result in an immediate suspension of service.
