Kl 5:30 í nótt kom upp bilun í ljósleiðarasambandi við Símann. Af þeim sökum komast notendur Netsamskipta ekki yfir á vefsíður og póst sem hýst er hjá Símanum og notendur Símans komast ekki yfir á vefi og póst hjá Netsamskiptum. Tæknimenn Símans eru að vinna í að laga þessa bilun og von er á að þetta komi upp innan skamms. - 11/09/08 : Innskráningar á MSN

Þann 7. júlí tókum við í notkun nýjan g.SHDSL.bis búnað í öllum símstöðvum í Reykjanesbæ. Þetta þýðir að við getum byrjað að bjóða uppá tengingar sem hafa sama hraða bæði upp og niður. Þetta mun henta einstaklega vel fyrirtækjum sem reiða sig á hraðvirkt og stöðugt internet við dagleg störf.

When a customer brings his/her server to be hosted at Netsamskipti ehf/Network Communications ltd. a contract is signed before the server is installed and connected to the internet. The serverroom is protected with security system which covers both intrusion and fire alert. Temperature is as well monitored closely. The serverroom is equipped by sophisicated cooling equipment who's purpose is to maintain a temperature of 20-22°. For the moment there are two such systems, one for backup if ther other one fails. Access to UPS is optional as well as protection by Cisco ASA firewall, prices for this service can be seen below.
